Mike Rangner

Mike Rangner - As an Oregon native, Mike has enjoyed a successful career as a professional illustrator in the Portland area for more than 20 years. His professional portfolio includes a diverse list of clients including Avia, Standard Insurance, Nike, The Oregon Zoo, Lego Toys, as well as Northland Publishing (Rising moon) and McGraw Hill Publishers.

A recent move with his family to Oregon's Mid-Willamette Valley has allowed him to further strengthen his love of painting and has also allowed him to continue to illustrate and design as well.

His professional accomplishments include awards and honors from service organizations including the Oregon Food Bank, Goodwill Industries, and The National Box Association for his product design work. Most recently his illustrated children's book "The Seed and The Giant Saguaro" was recognized in the Fall of 2006 by Janet Napolitano, Governor of the State of Arizona as the number one book for the state's elementary school reading program.

This series of posters fulfills his love for the diverse subject matter and his constant love of design. He considers this combination as a dream come true. He considers it an honor to be able to apply his creativity to subjects that we are all in awe of, both here in the United States, as well as in Canada.

His hope is that his art will bring some kind of enjoyment either from a recent trip with the family or from a fond memory of a childhood adventure. If anything, it reminds us of how lucky we are
